BPC received a survey license of Chino Khola Hydropower Project on 2071/11/04 (16 February 2015) at 5 MW capacity. The feasibility study of the project was completed with the optimized project capacity of 7.9 MW. Generation License has been issued to Butwal Power Company Ltd. on 2079/03/20 and already transferred to Chino Hydropower Limited, an SPV to develop and operate the project. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study report and Revised Environmental Management Plan (REMP) has been approved by the Ministry of Forest and Environment. Industry registration at the Department of Industry has been completed. PPA has been signed with Nepal Electricity Authority. Governmental Land Use and tree cutting approval has been granted by the Council of Ministers. The project layout has been fixed and majority of private land for permanent structures have been acquired. The EPC contractor to carry out Civil, Electromechanical and Hydromechanical works has been appointed to QYEC Construction Pvt. Ltd. The construction works is ongoing at site and the progress is satisfactory as of now.
