BPC bags Best Presented Accounts 2007 for third consecutive time

The Institute of Chartered Accountant’s of Nepal (ICAN) has awarded BPC as Winner of Best Presented Accounts 2007 in Manufacturing Sector for maintaining excellence in the presentation of its Financial Statement and Annual Report. The BPA award was announced by ICAN on 18th July 2008 in Hotel Soaltee received by CEO Mr. Ranjan Lohar from honorable Auditor General.

ICAN has instituted the BPA Award with the sole aim of improving the financial reporting quality in Nepal, thereby stressing the need of providing more disclosures to the stakeholders with regard to financial and non-financial information and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and regulations. The BPA Award is in line with the BPA criteria prescribed by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), which is an alliance of the Accounting Institute of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. SAFA is also an apex body of SAARC.

BPC was the winner of this award for 2005 and 2006 as well.
